Installation of cable (building the network in your neighborhood) and installing drops (bringing the fiber network to your home) has required and will continue to require West Union Trenching and/or AC Skyways staff to be in your yard and attaching a small fiber-optic connection box, roughly the size of a shoebox, to your house or business. This connection box is similar to equipment necessary for a landline telephone connection.

As soon as the cable is installed, R & S Fiber Optic Service splicing crews will follow to connect the cable in preparation for the service activation.

Service activation is scheduled to begin in late 2021. The activation time is when the service is connected, and you can start using fiber to your home internet. (The original timeline was extended due to the availability of materials, and contractor’s schedule.)
